Our completely original notification system allows you to get notified for a variety of Red Dead Online content as well as Free Roam Events like Trade Route and Salvage. This system is at the heart of everything we do in the RDRO Retreat community.
Whenever new content is added to the game that can be carried out as part of a posse, we will add further notifications and content types in the server.
Never miss a Trader Sale, Bounty Hunt, Blood Money Crime/Opportunity, Call to Arms or Trade Route!
Our in-house Retreat-bot handles all our community content with clean temporary channels in Discord. When a member launches content they want to posse up for, a channel is created and anyone with the associated notifications activated will be notified of the activity!
When the activity is complete, the channel automatically closes. As a large community, this helps to keep our server clean and easy to navigate.
As touched on here, our achievement system - linked to in-game achievements - is also handled by our Retreat Bot to provide a fun and competitive element to various aspects of Red Dead Online. Each achievement you collect is stored behind the scenes for bragging rights!
You also accumulate "hours of service" with each hour that you are active in the community. This has a corresponding leaderboard too, and helps to identify the longest-serving members in our group!
Bot games have become increasingly popular over the last few years and help to give people a way to unwind outside of the game whilst still connecting with the community at large.
Perhaps our proudest creation is our Virtual RDO experience. This is a completely custom built bot game unique to our server and is based on Red Dead Online itself, with some minor tweaks and additions.
You can react to regular spawns as shown here and run commands to explore, run stranger missions, invest in familiar RDO roles (and some unfamiliar ones) and assist others in taking on Bounties and Trader Sales!
Our feedback on this has been fantastic, and we have a great core group that play this regularly throughout their "work" days!
